UCS – How to collect logs

You can get IPKTS logs by typing showdebug1234 in the dial pad of the UCS.

A trace data window will open and you can start, replicate the issue and stop it.

You should then copy all the trace data to a notepad or word file and save it.

Please find below the process:

The second log we can get is the client log and you will need to search UCC.ini in the Windows search if the you cannot find the file in ‘C:Program FilesUCS Client’ or ‘C:UsersucappAppDataLocalVirtualStoreProgram Files (x86)UCS Client’.

Please close the UCS completely before making any changes. Close down UCS and make sure it’s closed in the system tray.

Inside the file UCC.ini you have to change TraceView=0 to TraceView=1, as shown below.

Start the UCS, replicate the issue once more than stop and copy all trace data to a notepad or word file and save it.

To stop the traces complete, inside the file UCC.ini you have to change TraceView=1 to TraceView=0
