  1. Document Purpose & History

 

This document is intended to provide the reader with the necessary steps to upgrade a UCP system from the maintenance tab (as would be necessary with any system that is pre-programmed or live)

 

Please note – before performing any upgrades or programming changes on a UCP/emg80 system, we strongly advise you take a database backup of the system as outlined in KB #39286

 

 

UCP – Upgrading from the Maintenance Tab

 

 

  1. Log into the UCP system

     

  2. Browse to the “Maintenance” tab

     

  3. Browse to “S/W Upgrade” on the left, and click “File Upload”

      

  4. Click “Select File” and browse to the Kernel file first.

     

  5. Click “Start” and wait for the file to upload.

     

  6. Once the upload is complete, click “Reset” and wait for the system to restart (This step may take a few minutes).

     

  7. Log back into the UCP system

  8. Follow steps 2 and 3 as before. Click “Select File” and browse to the App file.

     

     

  9. Click “Start” and wait for the file to upload. 

     

  10. Once the upload is complete, click “Reset” and wait for the system to restart (This step may take a few minutes).

     
      

  11. Log in one last time and confirm that the App and Kernel versions at the bottom left of the UCP web interface are up to date:

     

  12. Finally, we would advise you finish by taking another system database backup as outlined in KB #39286
