Phone-link – Using the client remotely

The software can be used in conjunction with a remote phone, so the software can link on a CTI basis.

You can do this via a VPN or via NAT.  You need to forward TCP 21050 & UDP 21059 to the internal IP of the Phone-Link Server IP.  Also, open these ports on the Windows Firewall of the machine and add exceptions for the phone link suite into the firewall.

The PHONE-LiNK clients and server communicate using TCP port 21050, 21051 (TLS secured port for client connections) and UDP port 21059. The server installation should configure the local firewall to allow support for these services. In the event that a non-standard firewall is used then these ports may need to be “allowed” manually.

If you are using full NAT remote place the external / firewall IP into the Server box in the Phone-Link client to allow it to find the server onsite.

If you are using VPN, you should be able to enter the internal address for the site while the VPN is up.
