This document is intended to provide the reader with the necessary steps on how to upgrade the LIP 9071 handset via a USB stick.

 

 

LIP 9071 – USB Upgrade Steps  

 

 

Before you can upgrade the software of the LIP 9071, you need to make sure that you have a USB stick along with the most recent version of software. If you require the software please follow the below link to our website.

After you have the required versions of software you will need to copy the two files across from your downloads folder onto your USB stick.

 

 

Now that you have the software on your USB stick follow the below steps.

 

 

1) Press “Menu” on the keypad.

 

 

2) “Settings”

 

 

3) Once you have selected “Settings” scroll down to “About Phone” and “Software Update”.

 

 

 

4) You will now be prompted with a screen displaying “USB Update”, however this will be greyed out.

 

 

 

5) You will now need enter the USB stick into the USB port on the back of the device.

 

 

 

6) The LIP 9071 will now recognise that you have plugged in a USB stick. The “USB Update” option will now be accessible. 

 

 

7) The LIP 9071 will now begin the software update. Please do not turn off the power during the update.
