1. Version Information
This document is intended to provide the reader with information on the presence status
iPECS ONE – Presence under Contacts > Organization
When you click on Contact > Organization it will display the current presence of all extensions under your customer. It won’t be a real-time presence (please see exceptions below).
You can go to another screen and go back to Contact > Organization and the current state will be presented. If any extension changed state, it will display the correct state of when you clicked on Contact > Organization.
The Contacts > Organization has no real-time presence unless the extension you want to see the real-time presence is one of the following:
1. the extension is an iPECS ONE and you and the extension called each other at least once.
2. the extension is an iPECS ONE or a desk phone, and it is added under My Contacts (added to any group).
3. the extension is iPECS ONE and you have a chat created with them.
To add an extension to My Contacts, you can hover over the extension name under Contacts > Organization, and click on the phonebook icon. A window will appear for you to add to My Contacts. Select the group you want to assign them to and click OK.
In addition to the above, if your handset has a call forward or preset call forward set, it won’t register the DND state under Organization or My Contatcs.
This is due to the call forward or preset call forward having a higher priority than the DND state.
