This document is intended to provide the reader with information on how to import Outlook contacts to iPECS One

iPECS ONE – Importing Outlook contacts

To be able to use the import contacts feature you must ensure you are running version 2.1.1 of iPECS One or later.

To update your iPECS ONE web client – first log out. When logged out click the settings cog () on the login screen. In this menu click the ‘Update Version’ button.

You will then be prompted to close the tab and re-open. After doing this you will see the version has updated and the new client is ready to use.

Mobile clients will also need to be updated to the latest version to see the contacts.

After making sure you are running iPECS One version 2.1.1 or later go to Outlook.

Within Outlook Go to File, Open & Export then choose Import/Export. In the Import/Export window select Export to a file then next.

Then choose Comma Separated Values and click next. Choose Contacts, click next then save the file to a location on your PC.

Within iPECS One in the Settings option you will see an Import Contacts tab. Within this tab, click Select file, choose your contact file from the location you stored this in from the previous step.

After importing the file you are able to select which contacts to add to your personal directory using the boxes on the left. Select the desired contacts then click Import.

These contacts will now be shown within Contacts > Personal Directory.

** NOTE if this does not work then check for format is correct as in the image below:

The entries added under Personal Directory won’t be added as a Station Speed dial.

The Personal Directory includes all the extension Speed Dials (max of 100), contacts you can manually add to the Personal Directory and all imported contacts. You can use the filter to filter the contacts by type.

You can have up to 1.000 entries in the Personal Directory.
