2. Document Purpose & History

 

This document is intended to provide the reader with the necessary steps on how to connect the training cable (Y cable) to wired iPECS headset.

 

 

 

iPECS headset – Connecting training cable to wired iPECS headset

 

 

 

 The training cable or the Y cable can be used with our wired headsets. Please see the picture of the cable below:

 

 

 

 

 

 

You would also need the cord adaptor to connect in the button part of the cable, the single connection. The cord adaptor would then connect to the headset port in the back of the handset.

 
You would then connect the trainee headset to the smaller cable from the splitter and the trainer’s headset in the long cable part from the splitter that have the switch in the end of it.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
The two headsets can at all times talk to each other, but the switch will be used to control who can talk to the end part of the call.
 
If the switch is set to the full circle, the trainer will be sending audio to the end part of the call. 
 
If the switch is set to the half circle, the trainee will be sending audio to the end part of the call.
