This document is intended to provide the reader with the necessary steps to set up Mobile Extension.
Mobile Extension Setup
Your mobile phone may be registered to a station allowing the mobile phone to place and receive calls through the system. DDI calls are sent to your iPECS IP or LDP Phone and your registered mobile phone simultaneously. If the mobile phone is paired with a Station group station, Station group calls routed to the station can also ring to your mobile phone.
From your mobile phone you may access the facilities of the iPECS to place internal and external calls as well as activate and access features. To access system facilities and resources, you call your DDI number from your mobile. When the call is received, the system matches the Calling Line ID (CLI) to the mobile phone and provides you with system dial tone.
To register the Mobile Phone Number:
- Press TRANS/PGM button
- Dial 37
- Dial Mobile Phone number
- Press HOLD/SAVE
To activate/deactivate a registered mobile phone from the user’s station:
- Press TRANS/PGM button
- Dial 38
- Dial 1 to activate or 0 to deactivate
- Press HOLD/SAVE
To Place a call from the mobile extension
- Dial the DDI number of your station, the system will check the CLI, answer the call and you will receive dial tone
- Place an internal or external call as normal
To Transfer a call from your mobile:
- Dial * whilst on the call
- Dial the desired station number, the call is transferred and the mobile returns to idle. You can also dial a Park code to park the call, dial a Page Zone to place a page or dial a Conference room number to transfer the external party to a conference.
