This document is intended to provide the reader with the necessary steps to setup LCM for the Cloud enabling a UCP backup on site for disaster scenarios
iPECS Cloud – LCM/ TNET Redundancy Guide
First you will need to configure the cloud portal then you will need to follow the below steps to configure the LCM.
Order LCM through the order process this will enable this to show in the customer manager portal.
Select LCM in list from LCM Management then select modify. You will then need to add the Name, Rep IP = Local IP of UCP , Firewall IP = Wan IP for customer Site.
Please make sure to use a static IP on site if using an LCM.
Once this is registered to the system we will need to amend the site to be LCM not CCM, to do this navigate to Company > Site Management and select the site you wish to amend.
Once you have selected the site, you will be able to modify and change the type. By default this is CCM and you will then be able to amend to the LCM that you have created.
(NOTE this cannot be changed if you have any extensions created under the site you are looking to change)
Now Login to the UCP and set up the users/ routing that you would like to use for the redundant configuration.
Now Register the phones directly to the UCP, once they are connected make sure to set all handsets to remote.
Also Make sure the Router IP and firewall ip are set correctly on the UCP in PGM 102. This can also be set on the phone.
When Phones are registered to LCM, make sure that gateway IP of the router(i.e. .10.10.10.1) is set to the phones. If not, set it on the phones.
Ensure you have Transparent Network(T-NET) for LCM licence, and it is enabled
Enable TNET in the UCP in PGM 330
Also please allow ports 5588 UDP and 20,000-30,000 UDP to and from the UCP this will enable connection.
Make sure that TNET is enabled in board based attributes (PGM 132) for the stations that you would like to use the LCM for.
In PGM 331 set Register Enable to “ON”, Select the CM server Type to CM. Next enter the IP address that you can see on the portal for phones to register directly, in phone setting information.
Enter the customer tenant prefix in CM Prefix. (You can find the Tenant Prefix on the Reseller portal > Customers > Customer Info )
Select “With PREFIX” in CM Prefix Method.
Phones are normally connected to the UCP and this will then connect to Cloud and should be displayed as below in the UCP device
Next enter the Stations Authentication ID and Password for any 3rd party sip phones that you would like to add enable failover
You will now see the below configuration in PGM103, as you can see the handsets are connected to the cloud platform Via T-NET
If you have any issues with this please make sure that you have double checked the below.
- Handset is set to remote
- Correct IP and subnet are on the phone.
- You have a Gateway Address on the handset.
Again make sure to allow ports below to the UCP on your router
- 5588 UDP
-
10000-30000 UDP Media
