iPECS Cloud – Setting up a hunt group

To set up a hunt group – log into the customer portal and navigate to call manager then to group settings and then hunt group. Click add and now you will be able to set a group name, choose the type of hunt group e.g. circular/first idle/multi ring, set a DDI to the group if required and the time schedule you would like this group to follow. Underneath on the member tab you will be able to add the required extensions.

The types of hunt groups are:

  • Circular : The call will be presented to the first available extension in the group member’s list, if not answered it overflows to the second available extension. If the call is answered by the second extension, then the next call will be presented to the third available extension. This will happen in a circle.
  • First Idle : The call is always be presented to the first available extension of the group member’s list.

  • Longest Idle :The call will go to the person who has not taken a call for the longest time.

  • Multi Ring : Ring All users in the group at the same time.

Under the options tab you will be able to set a forward e.g. a no answer/busy forward to voicemail. You will also be able to add a group greeting file. Lastly click save.
