2. Document Purpose & History

 

This document is intended to provide the reader with the necessary steps on how reroute a number on iPECS Cloud.

 

 

iPECS Cloud – How to reroute a number

 

 

To block an incoming number you don’t wish to receive, you should go to User Setup, click on the extension you wish to block the number, and select modify:

 

 

 

And under DN Base CID routing point to an Auto Attendant:

We will create an Auto Attendant with a blank prompt to be played and then drop.

 

Set a normal Service Number AA, the settings can be any you wish, since this AA will only be to play a blank WAV file.

 

 

 

 

 

You need to make an schedule setting to be everyday at all times, as in the picture bellow:

 

 

 

And finally under Scenario Define, you should set the scenario type to announce and scenario prompt upload a blank WAV file.

 

 

Please find attached a blank WAV in this KB.

 

 

NOTE 1: Please note if your DDI is pointed to a hunt group and this hunt group has an unconditional forward or a busy forward and the phones are actually busy (in another words, if the forward is triggered) to a VM it would end up in the VM.

 

NOTE 2: Please note if your DDI is pointed to an AA, the AA Transfer Type needs to be set to Blind Transfer. If set to Screened Transfer, it won’t work.
