2. Document Purpose & History

This document is intended to provide the reader with the necessary steps to register the 2N IP Verso on the iPECS Cloud

iPECS Cloud – 2N  IP Verso with camera

To register the 2N IP Verso, you will need a 2N IP Verso licence. Make sure you are connecting the 2N IP Verso

The first thing you will need before configuring the device is an authentication ID and password. If you need assistance on setting up a 3rd party SIP phone authentication ID and password please look at knowledge base article.

Now that the user is created, you will need to make sure that you have the User ID, Authentication ID and Password. This can be found against the user within User Setup and then in the device tab from within the cloud portal. The KB can be found here.

You will also need to know the 3rd party SIP SBC address which is 185.110.180.13 (this will be different if you are a VSP reseller) – make sure this is set as the Outbound Proxy Server and Server Host in the device with 5060 as the preferred port.

To find the IP Address of the 2N IP Verso, press the door phone button 5 times after booting up and it will read the IP address to you.

Browse to the IP and login using admin/2n for the login/password

Go to Services – Phone and set the display name, phone ID and Domain.  Tick use Authentication ID and enter the Auth ID and password from the user you just created.  Enter the SIP Proxy and SIP Registrar – see below:

If all these details are correct your device will now register.

Go to Phone – Audio and  make PCMA first choice and change your DTMF to SIP INFO as shown below

When pressing the door phone button you can configure where you want it to ring.  Go to Directory – Users and enter the extension or group number in Name and Phone number as below:

You then need to add the user in Hardware – Buttons.

click the + next to the line that says No User

Tick the box of the user you want to add:

Now the button is set to dial x117 when pressed.

Video call to 1080i

There is a significant delay of video between the door phone and the 1080i.  When the subject moves at the door phone there is a delay in updating the video at the 1080i. Unfortunately it is not possible to resolve this.

Call from door phone direct to 1080i can be answered with video option but when in a group you have to answer first then switch to video.

Video call to ipecsone

Calls from door phone to ipecsone can be answered with the video option for both direct and group calls.

Door release

You can use DTMF to control the door release, go to Hardware-Switches and select Switch 1 and enter your dialling code:

Operation:

Door phone button is pressed and answered by an extension.  From the answering extension, press 44 followed by * to confirm and the door release is activated.

This code cannot be programmed on a flex key as it wont send the DTMF digits required.  We also recommend changing the default code (00) to a number that doesn’t conflict with anything in your number summary.  This is because we use 0 for external calls.

Should you need to forward the phone that the door phone calls, it will follow the forward and you are still able to operate the door release.  You can also forward offnet but, the video will not work.
