Converting Single Client User to Multi-client User

On the Cloud Platform it is possible to convert a single client user to a multi-client if you now require the user to have the same extension number for multiple devices. Please note, you cannot convert from a multi-client to single client.

From the “Customer Manager” Portal

Select your user and click “modify”

Next, scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the “device tab” and click “add”.

On the new pop-up screen, under “additional devices” select “soft client” option and assign licence depending on which soft client is used i.e. UCE, or Skype for Business.

Note, if you are using UCE soft client then you will need to assign how many UCE licences you wish to add from the drop down, this will determine how many devices can be logged onto at the same time.

You will now see two additional fields, “Authentication ID” and “Authentication Password”.

For UCE, these fields can be left blank. However for Skype for Business, you will need to contact Pragma in order to obtain the Tenant Prefix for the particular customer. This tenant prefix alongside the extension number will then be input to the “Authentication ID” field, then add a password of your choice. These are the credentials used to authenticate the client to the cloud as a 3rd Party Device. See below;

Now click save to finalise the configuration, from the user list you should now see the “User Type” set to “Multiple Clients” and the additional client has been added to the “Devices tab”.
