2. Document Purpose & History

 

This document is intended to provide the reader with he required information to set up Auto Ring Mode on an iPECS UCP or EMG80 system.

 

Auto Ring Mode

 

The system can automatically select the Ring Mode based on the time of day and day of the week.  Three ring modes are available – Day, Night, and Timed.

 

The ring assignments are as defined in CO/IP Ring Assignment – PGM 144 (for analogue) or PGM 231 for DDI (ISDN/SIP).

 

The start times for Day/Night and start and end times for timed modes are entered for each day of the week. When the Timed mode ends, the system reverts to the appropriate mode based on the Day/Night settings and the time-of-day.

 

The Attendant sets the required mode by pressing the DND key and choosing 1 for Day Mode, 2 for Night Mode, 3 for Timed or 4 for Auto Ring Mode.

 

Enter index 0 and press load (different indexes are used when using Tenancy grouping on the system – each tenant group can have its own auto ring mode)

 

 

 

Enter Day start time, Night Start Time and Timed ring and end times for each day and click SAVE

At the Attendant station, press the DND button and choose option 4 for Auto Ring Mode.  The Attendant now stays in this mode and the system will route depending on the above Auto Ring Mode table.
