Authorisation Codes
Authorisation Codes provide a means to control access to Voice Mail, Off Premise Call Forward, Walking COS (Class of Service), or DISA and may be required for outgoing outside Line or LCR access based on configuration of the system database.
When you dial an Authorisation Code that matches an Authorisation Code stored in the database, the system invokes the Station COS (Class of Service) or the COS (Class of Service) assigned to the Authorisation code. Each Authorisation code has separate Day/Night mode COS (Class of Service) assignments.
There are two types of Authorisation Codes, Station and System. A Station Authorisation Code is specifically related to a given station and intended for a single user. The System Authorisation Codes are intended for use by any station in the system.
The Station Authorisation Code includes the associated station number and the assigned code. The structure of the System Authorisation code can be set as either “*”, or “*” the Authorisation table index and the code digits. The latter allows duplicate codes to be employed using entry of table index to provide a unique identification of the entry.
The Administrator and Attendants are permitted to assign any Authorisation code including codes for another station. Normal users may only assign the Station Authorisation code for the specific station.
