2. Document Purpose & History

This document is intended to provide the reader with the necessary steps to route incoming calls using CLI.

Using incoming CLI to route incoming calls (ICLID)

It is possible to route calls based on incoming CLI when the lines are setup as DID lines (ISDN / SIP).

Once relevant ISDN programming is established for incoming call routing, ICLID can be used to intercept the call if it matches the inbound CLI and route it to an alternative location.

PGM231

Turn ICLID Table Usage ON

PGM 203

Caller Telephone Number (the full CLI coming in)
Caller Name (Name of the number, will show on phones when call comes in)
ICLID Ring Assign Index (Location in PGM 204 which tells the system where to route the call).

PGM 204

Enter table index (relates to ICLID Ring Assign Index in PGM 203, load the relevant table to assign how the call is going to route.

Example Setup

Customer is receiving unwanted marketing calls from an identifiable 0845 number and would like to block them.  Also, at night a “closed” message is played to callers, but they would like certain staff members to route differently so they can call into the office and not hit the night message.

PGM 203

Enter the unwanted 0845 number into Caller Telephone Number, route it to Ring Assign Index 2 and name it Nuisance Calls.
For staff members enter their numbers and names and route their calls to table index 1.

PGM 204

Index 1 – Route to a group in night modes.

Index 2 – Route to VSF 10 (tick drop). Use trans 06 box 10 to record “This line does not accept calls”. The nuisance calls will be played this message and dropped, thereby never being routed in the normal manner.
