2. Document Purpose & History

 

This document is intended to provide the reader with the necessary steps on how to configure a greeting into the correct format using Audacity.

 

 

 

iPECS Cloud- Configuring greeting in to the correct format using Audacity

 

 

 

1) Open Audacity, and then either open the file using the file open option or you can also drag and drop the music file in to audacity.

 

 

 

2) Once you have the greeting in Audacity you will need to match the format required this is Wave File, 8kHz, 16bit, Mono, PCM. If the file is in stereo format then you will need to split this in to mono.

 

 

3) You will now be able to delete one of the streams that is not going to be used changing from stereo to mono

 

 

4) In the bottom left corner of the screen you will then need to select the project rate and amend this to 8000kHz.

 

 

 

5) Under File > Export > Export as WAV:

 

 

 

 

And save as WAV 16 bit PCM.

 

 

 That should save the audio in the correct format for Cloud.
