2. Document Purpose & History

 

This document is intended to provide the reader with the necessary steps on virtual desk feature.

 

 

 

iPECS Cloud – Virtual Desk

 

 

 

The Virtual Desk feature enables a user to login to a LIP phone as any other LIP phone extension. This can be used in a multi client scenario in conjunction with either UCE or iPECS ONE as the second device. The soft client will continue to function as normal wherever the extension is logged in.

 

 

To login to a handset, simply dial the Virtual Desk feature code (by default this is 534), and the phone will prompt you “Enter Authorization Code” this will be the extension number you wish to login as & the Extension Password found in User Setup > Device, as shown below, + the [HOLD] button.

 

On multi clients with iPECS ONE it will work as expected above, but on multi clients with UCE, please note you need to add 696 in front of the extension number.

You should dial [Virtual Desk feature code] + 696 + [extension] + [extension password] “

 

 

 

To logout of the handset you need to dial the Virtual Desk feature code again which will return the handset to it’s original state.
