iPECS PCI – Secure Card Payments Guide

iPECS PCI is a service that ensures customers can take card payments over the phone without the worry that they may be in breach of PCI regulations and putting their customer’s card details at risk.

Ordering and Setup

First you will need to order the relevant licenses for iPECS PCI on Cloud.

Licenses overview

  • IPC1-PR-PCI-CH Per-channel PCI charge – You will always need this license. You need 1 license per channel. Ex: you have 20 channels, you will need 20 IPC1-PR-PCI-CH Per-channel PCI charge licenses. Monthly license.
  • IPC1-PR-PCI-PAY Payment Portal Hosting Charge – You will need this license if you are using the PCI URL to collect the payment. Monthly license.
  • IPC1-PR-PCI-API Payment Portal API – You will need this license if you are not using the URL and having the payment direct through a CRM integration. Monthly license.

You need IPC1-PR-PCI-PAY Payment Portal Hosting Charge or IPC1-PR-PCI-API Payment Portal API.

  • IPC1-PR-PCI-PAYN Payment Portal Hosting Charge – You will need this licence if you have a payment service provider that is not currently supported. Those are development charges.

Please note the DDI taking the call needs to be a ported and working number with us or a number bought from us.

Setup on the portal

Then you will need to navigate to Customer Manager Portal > Company > Line Settings.

Under Trunk Channel > Carrier Trunk Selection > select Manual Routing. A new option will appear underneath, then select PCI Service Trunk, set the number of lines you require then hit save.

How to use

First, the agent will log in to iPECS PCI web address. That will be provided by Pragma Order’s Team.

The home page will display a pairing code that the agent will use on an active call, dialling the pairing code on their phone to secure that call.

PCI – Secure Card Payments Guide

Once the number is entered in the key pad, iPECS PCI will display the customer information.

The agent will complete this information manually and click Next.

Then the Pay information is displayed. The agent cannot manually enter any information, instead, the agent needs to ask the customer on the phone to enter the digits on the dial pad of their phone. First the card number, then the expiry date and CV code (security code).

After all the information is entered by the customer, this is what the agent would be able to see. The agent cannot see any sensitive information from the customer.

Then the agent click on submit payment to process this payment.

When the payment goes through the payment result will be displayed.
